About Colistin
Antibiotic resistance is a growing concern in the medical field, as bacteria continue to evolve and develop resistance to commonly used antibiotics. Colistin is one of the few antibiotics that remain effective against certain types of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Colistin, also known as polymyxin E, is a last-resort antibiotic that is primarily used to treat infections caused by gram-negative bacteria, such as Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. These types of bacteria have become increasingly resistant to other antibiotics, making colistin a critical treatment option.
In EU and China, the MRLs for colistin in milk are both 50μg/kg.
About Colistin Rapid Test Kit
